I was commissioned by Facebook to create a piece in their new office in Chicago. Andrew Vitale from Prime Eight Art League curated 5 local artists to create works in the space.
I wanted to create a inspirational piece for those working daily in the office. neverstopmaking fit the bill. The title “Never Stop Making” was inspired by Jake Nickel of Threadless, and his Ted Talk under the same name.
The installation is made from multiple layers of baltic birch plywood, with over 100 feet of LED lights hidden within the custom structure. The inner lighting creates a uniform glow around the entire piece. While the installation is made up of sections, it appear seamless with a ball & socket construction. Raising the piece from the wall makes it look as if it’s floating.
