When Cards Against Humanity opened their stunning new office, Max Temkin asked if I would make something epic in the space. I asked Max if there where any phrases he loved. He recalled that his father had always told him that it was nice to be important, but it was more important to be nice. I ran with that.
The piece reads nice to be important to be nice. As the glow of the lights change, it goes from reaching “nice to be important” to “important to be nice”. The piece is made up of 200 total feet of LEDs, half Warm White & half Cool White. The installation is equipped with a wooden remote to change the light quality from one phrase to another.
